There was once nothing but darkness which lurked and loomed Across the silent space which never knew another place- Alone And forgotten to the universal race – Dark grew cold and bleak Not wishing to ever speak, only to be lonely and meek. – But then came light, she was such a sight her illuminating haze Caressed and never betrayed.- She soothed and wooed the darkness From his mood. – Light was kind and dark didn’t mind how she lured His time. – Centuries past and their friendship was vast never missing A beat they felt complete and thought to share their lovely liaison. – And so came life but it came with a price light and dark had to sacrifice- They were no longer one but two and out of reach but not of view. – Although They cycle till this day they miss the way they used to sway before life was Brewed through their color gray.-
