Rain drops upon my window seal, rain drops that carry the winter chill. With foggy breaths that leave my lips I do whisper my sorrows as the wind whips the curls that dangle about my hips. The darkness soothes the broken pieces within as the thunder crackles and tickles my skin. What regrets and memories can I surrender to this night, so the storm’s rage can end my plight. For as the raindrops kiss my cheeks my own tears escape and I do weep. Though at what price may the burden upon the heart ease as the storm drifts away on the breeze.
