Hey everyone thanks for stopping by. So you want to write, you want to try to make it a good hobby or side hustle. First you need the ideas to enthrall your readers or even just yourself. Inspiration is key for any artist! Maybe write about your own life if it is unique or even has some excitement! Adventurers often have a good start about writing on their own lives. Or even drama can be a topic to start with, it all depends what you want to write of course. Fiction or non fiction, maybe you have a favorite science topic that has always interested you. The possibilities are endless and it only stops where you imagination does.
Find your inspiration. What drives you to stay positive, happy, and keeps you moving every day. Family? Kids? Pets? Career? Hobbies? Nature? Friends? The List is pretty endless for most people because we have anything in our environment that can inspire us. It can be spontaneous or a slow burning inspiration that causes an idea. Keep a journal at home and a doc on your phone just in case you find something that sparks your writing brain cells. It could be on a good day, bad day, or even a lazy day. Don’t rush or try to force it, the best ideas come like lightening! Consider your dreams as well, keep a notebook by your bed to jot notes if you happen to wake up and it’s fresh on your mind.
Above all don’t give up! All artists get stuck in ruts now and then, sometimes the best thing to do is just take a breather. Step out the whole hobby for a few days and maybe learn something new. Anyone can become burnt out to the point they need a fresh start to approach their hobby in a new way. So don’t be afraid of change or new styles of art or writing if that is what it takes to get your gears turning again. Also don’t stress if you get stuck, it will likely only cause you to get further from your creativity. Especially if you aren’t on a time line to get the project done just let it flow and relax.
