Hey everyone thanks for joining me again. So your author bio is important for fans to get to know who you are, and what you are into. You don’t need heavy details in your bio, but you do want to make it to where the fan base and others want to and feel a connection some how to your life. You want common ground on some level like mention a hobby or pets, family etc. People often forget those that are on the big screen, or get popular are normal people who happened to do something that caused a stir in the world and put a lot of attention on themselves. So they kind of get put on pedestal in a sense and fans can forget that they are human as well and do all the human things we do.
Your bio shows you are still and always will be a human and do human things. If you become popular some how you want to always express your views and relations with others to show and remind them who you are. Keep it simple and polite, always greet and welcome them to your world of creativity. Be kind and respectful, thank them for their time with a simple ending. In the middle cover education, a couple hobbies, mention family and light things you enjoy. Think of it as being a host or hostess at a party, you want them to be comfortable in the home but not know every detail about it.
Bio is basic highlights for an author or artist. You can make them short and sweet or gentle rolling for a little while. Just depends on you and how you like it. How much you want people to know, but as I said don’t dive into heavy aspects. You can find my bio on my about me page on here and take a look. That is from my amazon author page and can give you the general gist of what I mean about give a little not a lot enough to show them who you are and what you do but don’t drown them in the information. Try to make them a bit more curious and make them say oh cool she has animals like me, or oh neat he has a brother and kids. You want that connection as I said before because it can make them feel related to your world as they are to their own.
Well, thanks for stopping in stay safe and keep being creative. If you have any creative inquires or questions for me just leave a comment and I can cover a particular topic for someone.
