The Easter Hunt

Beneath the leaves within the grass there lays the pastel colored eggs that hold the treasures for little fingers to discover. With baskets weaved, and filled with hay little feet shuffle, run about, and play. Finding wonder in every day the magic does caress each childhood dream. The Easter bunny came and left eats and treats beneath the cover of night letting the morning bring a delight. With giggles and laughter they explore set on finding so much more. Knowing there was something special abound the hunt was on and the whistle blown. Small toddlers scatter and children search hoping to capture a look or lay hands on their prize; an Easter egg twice their size! With promises of candy and sweets, with small trinkets so close in reach.

The minutes tick on, here comes cries of joy and excitement as the simplicity of this wonder remains the mystery of such a simple game. Gather and collect they all did two by two and three by three. The children laughed and ran with glee . The hunt of the year the adults all claimed and still the golden egg undiscovered till this day. Lost in the fields or misplaced in the hay the count down and the thrill of Easter Day.
