Poem: Wonder

Gaze upon the heavens above, what wonders do they hold? Such glorious and wondrous things to behold. Foreboding to some and dangerous to others, but what lies within the depths of the abyss above? Search the constalations, dance among the clouds, reach towards the skies as they fade into the grand colors that tickle the palate. So small we are compared to so much that is out of reach, out of touch, but never out of sight or out of mind to those who bother to stop in time and look to discover the stars of eternity. They return such a gaze, or such a glare they watch you as you watch them. Perhaps more than diamond eyes reflect the desire of men below. Enchanting all of those who dare to dream of more beyond the ocean shore, who dare to stand on the mountain peak feeling so vulnerable and meek. No matter your destination, your coordinates have no bearing on what is obtainable, imaginable, or can be brought into realities grasp. Linger a moment longer and watch the moon smile maybe one day it’ll guide you for a mile in this life, that tosses and turns , bringing heavy lessons and strife.
