Poem: Winter

The leaves do creep about the frosty ground as the chill wraps about the existence of the world around. Linger not in the cold for winter’s breath may take hold of the flesh of those abound; do not utter a word or haven’t you heard her viper like ways lure men to their death. She twists an icy thread about their heart’s and like a siren soothes them with sweet sorrow. Many have never seen the ‘morrow once under her spell as her winter’s breath erase existence for eternity within the mind’s eye. So if you ever feel the freezing caress of fingertips as the wind blows on the coldest winter night you might have a right to feel a fright.
